If I could time travel, I'd go to Victorian era England. I have ALWAYS loved the Victorian era, although most of my knowledge of it comes from romance novels.
I want to wear the formal evening gowns, dance the waltz, drink tea at a tea party.
I want to see men dressed up in evening attire and tuxes. I want to see men bow over women's hands, or tip their hands, or actually hold a door open and hold a chair.
I'd learn everything there was to know of the etiquette for that time period. I've always wanted to take deportment classes, learn formal etiquette, actually USE etiquette.
If you could time travel where would you go and why/what would you do?

I would be right there with you in the Victorian era. I would pick the 1880s-1890s. I liked the dresses better:)
Is that when the bustles were smaller, or no bustles at all. I wouldn't mind the smaller bustles and I want a corset. I could do without the side saddles though. LOL.
Bustles were smaller and the overall form was less southern belle and more natural. But corsets were still used by everyone excerpt the lowest class women.
By the by, I changed all my online names to morseren so if you see that name...it's me:)

You know what? I don't want to travel anywhere "already made". I want to create a world of my own where dancing is like food for the soul. Where your writing becomes reality, but not like Cornelia Funke's world because I probably would have a hard time with the White Women (the banshee-like-we-are-coming-to-get-you-and-kill-you, remember them?)
I want to go to place where written words become reality and I get to write my own story.
P.S. I love your header!
Magaly,
Awesome reply! I never considered that aspect of "traveling".
Thanks! I have a lot of fun creating them.
